I recently purchased a used bay 5000 chasis and after connecting to the service port via hyper-term I get prompted to enter the password. Is there anyway to reset the password? The manual just says call bay networks. Thanks!

I think you are connect to the NMM. Well, boot this module with hyperterminal opened, it will ask to push Ctrl + C then you will be prompted with a menu then there is a option to reset the module to the default factory. Write the configuration to NVRAM and then reboot the module. I guess it will work.

I tried this but it didn't work.

1. I powered up the switch and it reads
"TESTING MAIN MEMORY"

2. Reseting the supervisor module just causes the
hyperterminal session to display "TESTING MAIN MEMORY"
again.

3. I tried pressing CTRL+C before after and during the
system tests but nothing happens. The tests run and
then I get stuck at:

"Press '?' for command list, <esc> to return to menu."

4. If I press <esc> I get:

"Enter Password:"

Any other ideas? Thanks for your help!
