I have a stack of BayStack 470 switches running the new BOSS software, Version 3.5. The read and read/write passwords have to be different before the upgrade, if not you will only get read access. I forgot to change the r/w password. Is there a workaround? The only solution I can seem to find is going back to a previous version of software.

1) use console port to connect to switch
2) power cycle it
3) when it starts to run the diagnostics, hit "CTRL-C" and you'll see a small menu
4) type "i" for initializing the switch
5) type "a" for accept/apply (I forgot...)
6) switch reboots to factory default

Yup, works for 450's, BPS 2000, 5510's and 470's too.
