Bought this off eBay -- I tried the NetICs deal that I've found for other BayStacks and that didn't work. I don't want a friggin' dumb switch. If I wanted that, I woulda bought a Netgear for cheaper. Anyway, here's what's on top at the current moment:

BayStack 350F-HD HD: RevA FW:V1/01 SW:V3.0.1

Password: [ *************** ]

Enter Password:

Again, I powered down the switch for a minute or so, powered it back up and tried "NetICs" at various times during the boot process.

Power off , wait about 30 seconds, Power on with a console cable...
Within 15 seconds type : NetICs<cr>

it is a capital Eye not a lower case Ell, best of luck

I tried to remain child-like, all I acheived was childish.

.. As you can clearly see, I tried that. Mentioned it twice, even.

Anyway, I heard it won't work with newer firmware, and this switch seems to have the latest. I'd love to downgrade it to an earlier version, but it isn't configured with an IP (I ran a packet sniffer on it all day, powered it down a few times, and powered it back up in the hopes that it'd blurt out some management packets. Nothing.

As many know the NetICs password does not work on newer models. Putting the problem switch in a stack will not work either if the firmware and software are not the same. The only way that I found, was to contact Nortel. The first person you get to tells you that it will be $300.00 an hour with a 2-hour minimum. DON'T DO IT. Ask them to transfer you to contracts and believe it or not you can get support on your switch (unlimited phone, and software upgrades) for only $50.00. I could not believe it. I had given up hope. It only took about 30 minutes for them to set the whole thing up. Give Adrianne Olivares at 831.440.4334 and she will fix you up.

Damn the Man!
