We maintain our computer inventories (description, location, serial #, etc) in dbase.<br>

To make a long story short, I need to do updates, but I am unable to access the file due to a password. Is there any way to remove a password from a dbase file? I am serving a 4 month rotation in the Kuwaiti desert, and I need to update the bases inventory prior to my departure.

I am not aware of any password protection which can be implemented on a dBASE database directly. Of course, I am not aware whether you could use passwords directly on dBASE IV and/or V. Are you sure you are not using a program which asks for a password whenever you try accessing the database through dBASE ?
A few more details on the subject would be enlightening (even if it has to be after almost 3 years !!!).

Best regards,
Udai.
