Check your manual for the proper break sequence. Just pressing the break key does not always work .

It depends on what kind of OS your running. I've noticed some problems using Windows 98 hyperterminal for example.
Anyway here are a couple of tips you could try:
Software Platform OS Try This
MicroPhone Pro IBM Compatible Windows Ctrl-Break
ProComm Plus IBM Compatible DOS or Windows Alt-b
Telix IBM Compatible DOS Ctrl-End
Telnet to Cisco IBM Compatible N/A Ctrl-]
Terminal IBM Compatible Windows Break
Terminal IBM Compatible Windows Ctrl-Break
Hyperterm ver. 595160IBM Compatible Win 95 Ctrl-F6-Break
VT 100 EmulationData General N/A F16
Windows NT IBM Compatible Windows Break-F5
Windows NT IBM Compatible Windows Shift-F5

Regards

Lars
With regards to Cisco routers, it's been a long known fact that the control-break sequence doesn't work. It's a bug in Microsoft's operating system. To fix this problem you have to download HyperTerminal 5.0 from the Hilgraeve site (free) @ <A HREF=" TARGET="_new"> has saved me countless hours of frustration, and it will do the same for you.

I have got the same prob,If you get your router reset please tell me and i will do same many thanks

baldev

sehmbi@rocketmail.com

Try this in hyperterminal of Windows
Ctrl + space bar + pause
or Ctrl + Pause + F6
In cisco 2511 is working this keys.
