Password protected VBA projects

I've got an Excel Spreadsheet that was developed by a colleague. I need to change some of the VBA code but unfortunately the project is password protected.

The guy who password protected it has now left the company and we don't have the password.

Is there any way to crack the password or extract the password from the Excel file???

There are several password recovery programs that are available for this. If you are like my company and people do this all the time, then it might be worthwile purchasing such a program.

I think your company would be willing to pay that if the data is important enough.
