Password protected site accessible via FF, but not IE

Good day from the USVI,

I have a site which requires password authentification. When I access the site via either FireFox or Internet Explorer 6.0, the pop-up comes through requesting the userid and password. It works fine through FireFox (1.0.4), but not from IE (6.0, SP1) - gives message about unauthorized.

I have checked as many of the settings between the two browsers as I can think of. Any thoughts??

Silly question, but do you have a pop up blocker running? If so add it to the allowed list.
