Password Protected Excel Doc

Is there anyway at all around accessing an Excel Doc that is password protected, do you have to be the creator/owner of the doc. inorder to open it?
Pls Help...

No, you don't need to be the creator / owner - you just need to know the password. Is there more to this question?
