Password protected documents wont open read only

I have Server A & Server B both set up the same.
NT 4 Terminal Server (SP6)
Citrix Metaframe XP
Office 97

When a document (word only) is passworded so that it is opened as read only unless the password is put in to modify, Server A will open the document as read only fine.

However Server B will stop loading the document after clicking on the open as read only.
No error is given and Filmon does not show anything useful.

This happens whether you log on as Administrator or a Standard user and happens on New Documents and existing documents.

The same document that wont open on Server B does open on Server A.

I have reinstalled office on Server B however this has made no difference.

On Server B if the password is put in then the document will load.

I have also tried creating files locally on Server B and the same problem occurs.

Any ideas

Besides Filemon maybe you could try Regmon to see if there is a problem with registry access when you try to open the document. Regmon is also from Sysinternals.

Have tried running Regmon and there is no difference between the log file between Server A and Server B.

Anyone have any other suggestions??
