a seldom used but very much needed macro has stopped working and when i try to open in the macro editor it promptys me for a password. Im new to this position and dont have any idea what it is. any asistance would be greatly appreciated. Im a newbie. I humbly bow to your greatness.

EB macros can be password locked. So, you need the password to open it in the editor.

You can open the file in notepad. You should be able to get most of the code that way. It's a bit garbled, but most of the code can be easily read. I'm pretty sure the ebh files are stored as plain text.

Oh also, you can sometimes find the password to unlock it when you open it in notepad.
