I am trying to create a crystal report using
Crystal Reports 4.6 and an Access 2000 database. The Crystal Reports 4.6 was included with VB 6.0

When I try to add the database to my report, I am prompted for a password. There is no password on the database. It will accept an Access 97 database with no
problem. If I click 'Cancel' on the prompt input box, I get a message saying: "Error Recognizing File. The file is not a known database type. Please choose again."

Is Access 2000 not compatible with Crystal Reports?

Does anyone have any idea how to overcome this problem?

Have you figured out the solution to this problem? I too am having the same problem.

See the FAQ on Access 2000, you might need a new driver. Ken Hamady
