Password problem

Hi! I have mysql 4.1.0 and when I add a new user with passorwd I've got the following record:

|10.10.0.122 | dbuser | *572037aefe9daa2f11ec6c18754d9028090662c23f6d |

The problem is that the password field is very big and when I try to connect with Artronic mysql Admin I have the error

'Client doesn't supportauthentication protocol requested by server. Consider upgrading MySql client'

I 've changed the password with:

update user set password=password('123') where user='dbuser' and host='10.10.0.122';

Any help??
