changed from domain to workgroup in win 2000 and now is not accepting my password

I can only guess. But it seems that once you removed AD, all user names and passwords would have been lost(removed). The Administrator account that you are now logging on with is NOT the Domain Admin...its the local machine admin account.

When the server was first set up, someone in your organization setup this local machine administrator password. You need to enter the local machine administrator password. (The domain admin account no longer exists.)
