Hi Guys,

Its really nice to have such a forum, where you can resolve day to day problems. I have request to set a root password set to expire after 4weeks. Any help how do I do that.

Regards

you can view the file /etc/security/user and look at all of the possible options in the top comments, theres quite a few.

ones pertaining to your request:
maxage - force password change every X weeks.

from the commandline:
chuser -f /etc/security/user -s root -a maxage=4

standard word of caution, be careful setting password policy for the root account, make sure not to lock yourself out of it. :)

yes, sorry.. i was in the change default stanza's mode when i typed that out...
