password outlook 2000

when I enter my password and click the remember password box it dosen't remember it cos if i close down outlook and then restart the password has gone its a nuisance. Can someone tell me where this is stored. Is it a matter of deleting something and recaching when log in?

If you are using OutLook2000 Pro, there is no "remember my password" that I am aware of

yep I actually found that last night as well, just hoping there may have been an easier way, not sure how competent the user is in changing registry settings.
