Hi,

if i put a password on the listener file for a database, do i need to make any changes at client level or will the client be unaffected by this?

thanks

also, for windows servers, do i need to do anything on the services side of things

i.e do i need to stop/start the service?

you should not have to do anything at client side

just remember to save_config

thanks,

was pretty sure, just needed someone to double check with

just to confirm, do i need to do anything in control panel, services, for the oracle listener service?

try and connect after service should be ok... if anything you could always reload from command line

ie

cmd > lsnrctl reload <listener name>

--sorry come from unix background
