I can't seem to find any Access documentation stating what characters (and character length) are acceptable when creating a password. (Not admin level, but just the basic password for any user to open the file.)

Any tips?

I don't think there are any limitations built into Access for dealing with passwords. I have never had any problems with any users trying to define a password being told that their password contains illegal characters (or at least no complaints from users about this happening).

Password definition requirements are too varied within corporations/organisations for MS to try and define what should be used.
