PS
Greetings!

The password to the web interface board is lost and I would like to restore access there.
As I understand it, you can set password command
CHANGE-STMIB: MTYPE = STMI2IGW, LTU = 2, SLOT = 9, TYPE = WBMDATA, LOG INWBM = "HP4K-DEVEL", PASSWWBM = ???, ROLE = ENGR;

The question is, the parameter PASSWWBM is to be specified by an already encrypted password but I'm not able to find any information on encryption algorithm and how it can be generated.

Can anyone suggest any?

I've never felt the need to change it, but I believe the default is HICOM (all caps).

Yes that is the default and it works, however it is possible as follows:

By default it is in 'automatic mode'
You can go to Assistant/Expert Mode/Direct WBM/SSH Access (version 6)
In automatic mode, all auto-generated passwords for all accounts are distributed to the boards periodically. In automatic mode, all components of the Direct WBM/SSH Access page are greyed out, i.e. they are disabled and the Assistant sets passwords for all accounts for all boards automatically. No changes can be made in this page, except switching to manual mode.
Switching to manual mode, the window items of this page are set active, i.e. it is possible to add, edit and delete user defined accounts and to view logfiles.
To switch from manual mode to automatic mode and vice versa:
• Click the Automatic radio button, respectively the Manual radio button.

So you could change it there in the Assistant to 'Manual Mode' and then the passwords can be amended.
You can also (as far as I know) add a user with the same rights as one of the pre-defined roles.

For some reason the default doesn't work . Anyway I figured out how to change it using the same command I posted but I'm not sure if I can display it on the forum.

I don't have access to the assistant so I cant try what sbcsu suggested.

Thank you.

Just to clarify, logging on via telnet
