Greetings,
Got a weird one here... We have a Server 2003 Small Business. We recently changed the password policy to enforce a complex password of 8 characters etc...
However, when we force the users to change their password, they get an error message that the "... password must be at least 0 characters, not be in the last 24 and not have been changed in the last 24 days ... ".
The DC enforces the policy as it should, the local policy of the client computers shows the new policy, but the error message isn't right. After googling the issue, it appears the password filter error message registry key may be screwed. I checked the Server and the PASSFIL key is not in the "HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Currentcontrolset\control\Notification Packages" key.
Any idea as to why the error message is not getting updated?
Thanks in advance.
