Password (encrypted) Documents

The only way I know how is to go to tools and in that menu there is a "Protect Document" selection. Is that the one you are talking about? If that is grayed out, you may want to ensure that the install is a complete install.

Your post starts with stating you want to encrypt a document. Then it is password protect a document.

Which is it? Password protection on a document, does not encrypt the file.

Also, when you say password protect, what exactly do you want?

You can password protect opening a document. This is different from password protecting the contents.

Which do you want to do?
