Password deleting

I have an IP 500v2 R9.0.1000.998.
The problem is that the User voice mail passwords DELETE themselves. Users can't log in until I put the password back in. I just set the vm password length to 0. Thought maybe that would do it. Anyone see this before and find a solution?

I have seen something likethis and what happens is it is changed back to the # sign. It was/is a bug and I believe it is resolved in service pack 6.
