When I run the backup exec on my NT4 server which already set for auto backup from all other workstation in the network, I get an error message "Password database error". I have checked my tape, my drive, my network and none have any problem. I even started a new schedule for autoback up but fail. Anyone encounter this problem before? Need help from you guys out there ASAP. Thanks in advance.

Greetings,

I've had the same problem. I started when our last administrator left the company, and I reset all the
admin passwords. If you go into services, look at the
"backup exec" services that are running. Double click
on anyone of them to see how the service logs on. In my case, all "backup exec" services logged on under the
Administrator account. I changed the passwords under all "backup exec" services, stopped then restarted all of them. This worked fine for my BDC. Unfortunately, my PDC is still giving me the "Password Database error".

Can you think of anything else I might try to clear this problem up?

Thanks
