Password corrupted database

I am using an Access2000 database which I protected with a password. When working on the database with VB6 one of the user's power went off and it now says (after I type in my password) that the database must be repaired as someone has quit Access while the database was open. When I ask it to repair, it says the password is not valid.
Do someone know how I can access it or break the password or save some of the tables in it to a new database.
