Hi All,

We are in the midst of defining our corporate Password Complexity Policy, and are looking to use Group Policy to enforce it.

We are defining our policy to the following requirements:

Min. Lenght: 6 characters
Complexity: Alphanumeric
Max. Age: 90 Days

It appears GPO only allows the "Microsoft" complexity of 3 of 5.

Is there a way we can just enforce Alphanumeric?

I'd reconsider. With 6 Chars, alphanumeric, you may as well paste the usernames and passwords to the monitors.

In any case, if you won't reconsider, see this article:

About 1/4 the way down:

"You can create and register your own custom password filter if you want to modify the complexity requirements enforced in the security setting. For information about how to create a Passfilt.dll file, see "Password Filters" on the MSDN Web site.
