Password Cleared in CMC When Report Resaved in CR

I have created a report in CR 10. In the CMC I have selected the "Use original database logon information from the report" and inputted the password. However, every time I make a change to the report and resave it, I must put this password in again.

Although the report does not use a Business View, I have tried to use the Business View Manager to alter the properties of the data connection and "Never Prompt" for the password. However, when I view the properties (when making a new Data Connection) the password is not there.

Is there a way to set the password once in the report or with the data connection so that saving does not reset it to blank?

Thanks in advance!

In the CMC on the Properties screen for the Report Object there is a link called "Refresh Options".
Turn off the property "Default Database Logon Information"
and click Update.
Now when you save a report, the logon credentials will not be reset.
You may also want to turn off the "Current and Default Parameter Values" if your parameters settings are being reset.

Thank you Bob! I am a new user and have spent considerable time researching this issue with no luck.

You're the best!
