Password Changes

Hello,

Our users is logging into eportfolio via a link on a different website. We are on CE10. Do you happen to know if XI or XIr2 will allow the password changes for the Enterprise users to be propagated to infoview?

Hi,
Passwords are not specific to the interface..InfoView uses the same authentication as all other CE stuff - It retrieves it from the CMS database.
Have you had a problem with password changes?

Thanks for the quick reply. No, we don't have any problem with CE yet since all our current users are going through the Windows AD authentication.

We will however bring in another set of users who are getting our reports via Webintellegence. With WebI, it takes overnight for a script to run to bring the password updates to WebI from this other website. We are hoping that XI or XIr2 will automate this whole thing and happen real time.

I think if we set them up in Window AD, their password changes will automatically be brought over to CE. But if they will be set up as Enterprise users, does it sounds like we still need some kind of script to update the CMS database to capture the new password or will the new password be brought over by XI? Thanks!!
