I access my Windows 2000 Server through PCAnywhere. It's located probably 10 miles away. I have been told that if there is a power outage I will have to drive there to enter the password before the equipment can come up again and accessible through PCAnywhere. Is there anyway around this? Can't I get rid of that password/user name box and just go right to all of the rebooting "stuff"?

Thanks -

First thing that I would do is to get a UPS if you don't have one already. A $400 dollar ups can keep it up for over an hour.
There are ways that if the server does go down. If you have the right kind of motherboard and modem/NIC, you can dial-into the network or vpn into it and power up the server remotly.
PC Anywhere can run as a service and if you select the certain job name in PCAnywhere, it will startup and you can login to the server by sending it the CTL-ATL-DEL keystroke.

Hope this helps. :)
