If you are using Optivity NMS 9.2 only

and you have 6400 and 4400 passports.

What kind of information can you get from the passports?

can i get which of my passport links are being fully utilised? when?

what can i get?

at least i will get when the passport is up or down?

what kind of reports will i get?

1. Using OmniView you can get an information stored in the mib like inbytes and outbytes counts.
2. Again using OmniView you can watch the inbyte and outbyte counters. The utilization can be displayed in percent. If you want to know the utilization at a specific time, OmniView offers the feature of a graphical display and of exporting statistical data to a .csv file. Ýou can edit the .csv file with MS Excel.
3. You can get a whole lot of information from the mib. Try OmniView an walk through the mib tree to see the plenty of informations stored there.
4. The state of your passport is recognized by SuperPing. If SuperPing (one compnent of Optivity NMS) gets no response from a device, a trap is generated and displayed in FaultSummary.

Hope the answers help you.
