Passport 8600 Log

Hi, we are seeing this warning in one of our 8600 logs:
WARNING Task=tChassis iomPolReadMiiReg retries xceeded slot 9 Port 29
---
It is not 9/29 specific, it is happening on plenty of ports. Has anyone seen this in their logs? What does it mean? Thanks for your help.....

hi Riot.
If you read the Nortel release notes this is a known problem with certain versions of software. It is NOT a problem according to Nortel, especially if you see it after a reboot. Hope this helps

Have talked to Nortel about this problem. They told same thing NMSman is saying. They said upgrade the code and the messages will be suppressed in release 3.1.6. My suggestions are what I would try myself. If incorrect, I welcome corrections to my knowledge.
