I have a source filter set up on it which should forward all traffic from a certain ip 10.149.48.9 with a source tcp port of 3389 to 10.149.48.29. But the filter does nothing. You can look at the filter statistics and it is matching packets. The 10.149.48.29 router is a Linux box and it does not show anything coming in from the 8600 with tcpdump. Has anyone else had this problem or does anyone know what I am doing wrong.

See release notes 3.5.10

On a Passport 8600 routing switch, the forward-to-next-hop filtering option should only be set while configuring destination IP traffic filters. The forward-to-next-hop mode is not supported using source IP traffic filters. To avoid any confusion, this mode can not be configured for source IP filters. (Q01053854-01)

Thats what I was afraid of, I am not sure how I can achieve what I want to do with a destination filter because I dont know the destination. But I will try and figure it out.

Got it set up as a destination filter instead of a source filter and it works. Thanks alot Alainv, this really had me stumped.
