Passport 8600 error message?? 1

Hello,

I need to implement a new snmp host but I receive the following error after implementing the config command:

config sys set snmp trap-recv 10.68.99.50 v1 public

Error: another system action is in-progress



No one else is connected to the device:

# show cli who

I tried it via console as well a few days later but I received the same error. I haven't found anything on this error; anyone seen it or have any suggestions?

I found this message once in Google groups, it looks like you'd get this message if you don't have an SNMPv1 comunity string set. Seems odd to me, but that doesn't mean it isn't right. :)

As a side note the 3.2 code branch is far from current, you may want to consider upgrading to 3.7.x or at least 3.5.x if you've got older CPUs with less memory (although 3.5.x has limited support these days).
