I have a very similar error that I am experiencing to the one referenced in thread902-1188466.
Mine references CRC found on Device 22 (as opposed to 20) in the post.
After viewing this post, and some swapping and troubleshooting, we have learned the following.
If you get the following error upon bootup:
"sysSeepromGetInfo: crc failed for second time on device 22, calc: e8de dev: e9de
sysSeepromGetInfo: crc failed on device 22, calc: e8de dev: e9de"
or something similar, it is indeed a power supply problem.
(Phew! We were happy that it wasn't a SF or chassis issue).
The decivce number refers to the position of the power supply in the chassis.
20= far left slot
21= middle slot
22= far right slot
The problem did indeed follow the power supply on several chassis and slots.
Oddly, this power supply may indeed work, and may not show up on any other logs besides the post test upon bootup.
In my case, my power supply= 8001. I would suspect you would get the same or similar error on any of the power supplies.
I didnt see a conclusion to that old post referenced above, so I wanted to include this for anyone who experiences this in the future. The only big difference between my issue and the issue the user was having in the other post is that in every case, the power supply actually appears to initiate fine and does indeed show up normal.
I hope this is helpful.
