Passport 8310 Web Server Write Mode

We have purchased a passport 8310 routing switch for our network and while trying to configure it from the command mode, I found that the access of the switch from HTTP is read only. The command to enable the web server on it is
web-server password <ro> <username> <password>

I wanted to know if it is possible to make changes to the switch through the web so that we have more than just the read only permissions to the switch.

The web-server on the 8300 is for monitoring the switch only, as such it is a read only connection.
