If you are talking about configuring a static route that goes intot he host portion, you can do it, but I would be very careful. If you have routers on the network and they are not configured to use host routes the static route will buy you nothing.
If there are Bay/Nortel routers in the mix, you will have to investigate the source-destination path for the static route, as well as configuring the routers to accept "host routes".
