hi
I have connected my Passport 7480s with other TWO passports (A and B) networked using VR(Virtual Routers).

I have an Eth card in my Passport and that VR/IP is the gateway IP for all my PCs.

Can i configure some restrictions in my Passport so that I can block data traffic from Passport A from reaching Passport B thru my Passport VR.

Regards

You've probably seen other threads talk about filtering using NetSentry on passports. It's cumbersome. If you can find an unused cisco etc router in front of the passports, just use ACLs on it instead if you are more comfortable with Cisco-speak. PCR code (4.2 at least) uses IP Flow filters. My network doesn't use them and I can't personally say whether they're good or bad, but they look reasonably straightforward to implement... by Nortel's standards anyway.
Read NTP 241-5701-810 "Configuring IP" and/or 241-5701-805 "Understanding IP". This last NTP should really be called "Understanding How Nortel Does IP on Passport 7400 etc", so it's worth reading even if you understand how the rest of the world does IP ;-)
