I have a BCM connecting to an Option11 via Sprint Frame - 2430s on each end. Data seems ok, voice having dropouts.
on 14.2 of Bay RS. Sprints suggests to upgrade to BayRS 15.4.2 this will fix problem? Anyone with experience with this issue?

I had this problem when we tested the 2430 router in our lab. I discovered that the 2430 using the 1420 code was dropping packets and not reporting anything in any logs. What I did to confirm this was capture traffic simultaneously on both the inbound and outbound interfaces of the router. I then checked the VOIP traffic. If you check the RTP headers you'll see a sequence number on each packet. How I confirmed the packet loss was by looking at the captured traffic inbound and matching the RTP sequence number for the outbound traffic. If you search through the captures long enough you see a packet with an RTP sequence number inbound but no corresponding packet with the same RTP sequence number on any outbound traffic. The packet seems to just disappear in the router. This was the source of the dropped packets I was seeing in our VOIP tests. This was in our lab, so we decided not purchase this router and thus I never tested it with any other version of code.
