Passing values between notes forms

Hi all,

Can anyone tell me what the best way is to pass values between forms in lotus notes (not web forms).

I have a form which needs to open and populate a new form when submitted but I can't seem to find a clear way of doing this.

This sounds like a beginner question, so I'll suggest that you take a look at inheritance in the Designer Help db. It's really simple, and given your question it might fit the bill.
Now, if I'm clear off the mark, could you specify what exactly it is you want to do and why inheritance or a LScript button doesn't work ?
