hi there, i need to pass a value from a subreport into a crosstab in the main report and do a % count on it and i can't figure out how to do it.

my main report has a date range parameter and it shows:

1) group 1: area
2) group 2: companies
3) group 3: staff who have been off sick with a reason of stress during the selected date range
4) details: the date(s) they were off sick, and number of sick days.

in the subreport, i have the toal number of staff who have been off sick (regardless of reason) by area. this is placed in group header 1 of the main report.

in the main report's report footer i have the following crosstab:

no of no of sick no of
staff incidents sick days
area A company A1 xx xx xx
company A2 xx xx xx Total xxx xxx xxx
area B company B3 xx xx xx
company B4 xx xx xx
Total xxx xxx xxx

what i need to do now is to have a percentage count of the no of staff against the total no of staff who have been off sick (from the subreport) for each area. how can i do that? any advise will be greatly appreciated.

thank you.

the crosstab looks like this:

column 1: area
column 2: company
column 3: no of staff
column 4: no of sick incidents
column 5: no of sick days

thank you.

Please explain what you did so others can benefit from this thread.
