How can I pass a parameter from my VB.NET application to Reporting Services?

Do I need to use the ReportViewer Component or should I reference the Web Service or is there another option? Pointers please.

Environment VS.NET 2003.

cheers

I think the best way to do this is to pass the parameter from your .net application to a SQL Server stored procedure / view and then run RS separately.

I don't know enough about RS yet to think of another option. Sorry.

a little late but here's what i've been doing:
i get my data from a webservice
pass my parameter to the report, the report calls the webservice to get the data, and passes those parameters to the webservice, which in turn gets my data from sql..

it was the easiest way without having to rewrite a huge chunk of business layer code..

Thanks bitsmith2k. I figured it out without using webservices. cheers
BTW Never too late...
