RecordsAffected is not a property of Access, but a property of either a DAO connection, database or querydef object, or a (return) parameter of an ADO command or connection objects execute method.
Should you chose to use COM (DAO or ADO), it will be available. The equivalent methods of ADO.Net is something I know nothing about.
BTW - you're not using an "Access database" as such beast does not really exists. Access is a front en tool/application develompemt tool that can create front ends for several different databases, such as it's default database Jet.
An mdb file is a Jet database. You're using the Jet engine to manipulate it programatically.
