passing parameters

I have just mastered report parameters, which allow the user to enter parameters while running the report. Now I need to be able to pass parameters to the reports myself, which the user has no ability to change (basically depending upon the user group that the user is in, they will view a different subset of the data). Is this possible?

I'm not 100% sure about this one...how are you determining what group the user is in?

I am using a variable in my C# to determine the group that the user is in....I need some way of passing the value of this variable to my report. Otherwise I will end up having to write a different report for each grouping and in my C# using the variable to determine which report the user views.
