Passing parameters to stored procedure -- ASP

I'm using SQL server stored procedures and direct access method. i have some 14 parameters in SP which by default are null.

When I'm passing parameters with
setCurrentValue method and calling the .RPT within ASP its taking lot of time without any results.
My question is,
i. Do we need to pass all parameters' value to the report?
ii. Or do we need to pass only those params which we need.
iii. If we have to pass all parameters then what should be passed for NULL values?

Please some body help me. Its very urgent for me.
