Question,

I am using Crystal Reports version 4.6.1.0 (the version that ships with VB6). How does one pass a parameter to Crystal Reports from a VB6 application, so that it can be used in report selection criteria.

Any help/advice would be most appreciated.

Thanks,

Moben.

Add the Crystal Report OCX to your VB toolbox. Drop the Crystal Report OCX to your VB form. Use the ParameterFields property of the OCX to fill the parameter and then run the report.

Balves,

Thanks for your reply.

I cannot find the ParameterFields property. Is this available with Crystal Reports 4 ?

There are no parameters in v4.6. Instead you construct the selection formula in VB (from the user's choices) and pass the formula to the selection formula property. Make sure that you construct it in CR syntax. Ken Hamady, On-site Custom Crystal Reports Training & Consulting
