passing parameters from HTML to linux (redhat 6.2)

Hello there,<br><br>I am wondering how to pass parameters from a webpage hosted onto a linux server.<br><br>I am using redhat 6.2 although the flavour shouldnt matter(?)<br><br>i imagine the best way is through the submission technique, but how do i pass it back and fourth?<br><br>The complete syntax would be very helpful. <br><br>Thankyou in advance...
