PASSING PARAMETER TO REPORT THROUGH SCRIPT

I am reporting off of a Notes database.
When a user clicks on a invoice in a view, or selects an invoice number from a list, I want to pass that value to the report, so that when the report opens it is the ine they have selected.

Does anyone know how to set the report up to receive the value and what code to use in Notes to pass the value?
