Passing Parameter to a sub-report

Could someone help me out - I have a report with a string parameter that I need to be able to use for the record selection in a subreport.

How do I code this?

Ah don't worry - I linked one through the menu rather than delving into the shared aspect. Works fine.

You found the right answer for passing data from the main report to a subreport. If you ever need to pass data back for further processing in the main report, that's where shared variables come in.
