Hi

Aside from IP SLA MONITOR, is there any other way of configuring in passing an interesting traffic in a router? I have configured crypto vpn going to another point and I have to configure IP SLA MONITOR as the peering will go down if there is no traffic between the peers. Now, I have to replace the router in which the IOS is with a security license (IOS Firewall) in which the IP SLA MONITOR is not supported.

Thanks.

Oj

you could just set a scheduled job to run on a system that will ping another host across the tunnel every so often.
