HAve a form with many text boxes and a label for each text box. When I double click the label I open a dialogue box that gives the users three different options. I need to be able to now the name and caption of the label that was clicked to open the dialogue box. CAn I use the previous control statement, or will I have to pass the data via a global variable? From what I've read the previous control seem to only work on the current form.

Any suggestion would be very helpful.

thanks in advance.

How is the dialogue box open ?
Can't you set the OpenArgs parameter to the name and caption of the CurrentControl ?

Hope This Helps, PH.

The dialogue box is opened with a docmd.openform. I need the .caption because that contains the number, and thus the row number, of the table to be updated by the user selected option. I have to look up OpenArgs parameter since I've never seen that before.

Thanks for the quick response.
