Passing CGI based variables to ActiveX in HTML

I'm trying to pass a varaible to HTML via the CGI method ("my_script.php?myvar=1000") so that that I can have variables passed to my ActiveX. Only problem is that I'm not sure that ActiveX has the ability to take variables like that. Is this possible or is there another way?
