Hi there,

On client machines (Windows 2000 and XP), I need to call, from an html page (it could be either in vbscript or javascript) a program that is already "running". I need to pass a string value to this program from the html page(depending on this value the program would do some specific tasks). I can change or modify the “running” program as needed (running program is in vb6)

Any suggestions would be welcomed !

THanks !

PS. I' using visual studio 6.0 …

could possibly do it with client side VBS or JS, or apply a vbs (wscript or cscript) script to be downloaded on opening page to interact with the program running via windows api calls, i think there's some threads similar to this in the forum, i just cant remember what they're called, probably can find them with "client side" and ".vbs"
